My community solar credits are late or missing — what do I do?

First check the timing: credits appear within the next 2-3 billing cycles after the utility processes the enrollment. If it has been longer, call the company that enrolled you — if that is us, we go back to the solar farm and sort it out.

When a credit is late or missing, we go back to the solar farm ourselves and work it out. Most companies hand you a phone number and leave you stuck between the utility and the farm; we do not. That is what we are known for.

How do I distinguish a first credit delay from a stopped credit?

Community solar credits that have never appeared and credits that used to appear but stopped need different checks. For a first credit, identify whether the utility has processed the enrollment, rather than counting from the day you uploaded a bill. Credits appear within the next 2-3 billing cycles after utility processing. A submitted online form is not itself confirmation that processing is complete.

For a stopped credit, compare the latest bill with the last bill that showed one. Note the account number, service address, billing dates and the wording of the credit. A move or account-holder change provides a specific account detail to investigate. Do not infer a farm failure solely from a smaller amount: monthly production and the period credited can change.

Which bills and details help Lower Your Bill trace a missing credit?

Send the complete latest electric bill and, for a stopped credit, the last statement that showed it. Include all pages so the account, credit entries and usage can be read together. If the farm bills separately, keep its invoice with the corresponding utility statement. State whether the credit never started, stopped, or appears but is smaller than you expected.

Tell us about a new utility account number, address or account holder. A name and an amount due alone do not let the farm locate the right allocation. Lower Your Bill reads the account number from the bill, compares the submitted account and checks the billing and production periods. We do not need a credit card or an enrollment payment to investigate.

Could the community solar credit be listed under another name?

New York community solar entries can be called CDG or Value Stack credits. Central Hudson customers should look for those terms rather than expecting the exact words 'community solar'. JCP&L, PSE&G, BGE and ComEd customers should review the electric credit entries across the full statement. The precise line on your actual bill is the evidence; a label remembered from a different utility is not.

Send the bill if you cannot identify the credit and we will point to the relevant entry. A supplier charge is not the solar credit. With dual billing, the separate farm charge is also not evidence that the credit is absent: match that invoice against the utility bill's credit for the same period. We read both sides before deciding what went wrong.

Who does what when a community solar credit is missing?

Lower Your Bill checks the customer account and goes back to the solar farm ourselves to work it out. The farm submits account and allocation information and reports production; the utility applies the credit to the electric bill. We ask about the step that needs attention rather than leaving you to repeat the same story between companies. Call 732-314-5010 or email info@lowerurbill.com.

We do not promise a correction date or invent a future credit amount before the account is traced. Keep the latest statements and any farm correspondence so the resolution can be checked against a later bill. Community solar does not interrupt electricity while a credit is being reviewed. For outages, unsafe equipment or utility payment arrangements, your utility remains the appropriate contact.

How do I qualify as income-eligible?

Maryland households can qualify by household income or participation in an accepted assistance programme. Income qualification increases Maryland's discount. In New Jersey it helps placement on a farm sooner but does not change the discount. The online form asks household questions, not income-document uploads.

Can renters get community solar?

Renters can join community solar when the electric bill is in their name. Nothing is installed at the rental property, so no landlord permission is needed. An apartment with electricity included in rent does not have an individual utility account to enroll.

What is a community solar allocation?

A community solar allocation is the share of farm production assigned to a utility account. Lower Your Bill sizes it from actual usage, including the 12-month history, so credits are neither much smaller than the account needs nor accumulating unused.
